The City of Los Angeles (City) appeals from the judgment upon a jury verdict in favor of plaintiff Cassie Stark. Plaintiff was severely injured when a police pursuit of a traffic violator culminated in the latters vehicle broadsiding her vehicle. The main issue on appeal involves the liability of the City for negligence of its officers during the pursuit. The City contends that it was immune from liability under Government Code section 845.8 and was not negligent as a matter of law under Vehicle Code
